Steel shot and grit – the efficient surface finisher

When the surface finishing of a workpiece is to be achieved by blasting with abrasives, in addition to the positive visual effects, the economic efficiency-above all-is vital. Steel shot made from quenched and tempered steel (high- and low-carbon forms available) and steel grit are characterised by their unusually long service lives and high efficiency. Steel grit is divided into three grades of hardness (GS, GM, GH), which result in different deformations of the material being blasted. Steel grit is used for the cleaning, roughening and preparation of surfaces.
